To protect the health of every dog in our care and reduce the risk of contagious illness, all dogs must meet the requirements below prior to acceptance into Board and Train or Board and Care.
All dogs must be healthy and free of contagious illness at the time of drop off. Veterinary documentation is required prior to the start date and must confirm the items listed below.
Dogs must be current on all core vaccines and boosters appropriate for age and veterinary guidance.
Rabies must be current.
Bordetella must be current. We accept either the intranasal or oral vaccine or an up to date booster.
Documentation is required.
Recent deworming is required.
Dogs must be on routine flea and tick prevention.
A fecal test is required to screen for contagious intestinal parasites, including giardia and coccidia.
A recent veterinary visit is required to obtain
A full physical examination
A thorough skin and coat check to rule out contagious conditions, including ringworm, mites, lice, sarcoptic mange, fleas, ticks, and active skin infections
Dogs must arrive clean with nails trimmed.
If needed, dogs should also have a sanitary trim and anal glands addressed prior to arrival.
Dogs showing signs of illness may be refused at drop off for the safety of other dogs in care. This may include vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, nasal discharge, fever, lethargy, or visible skin issues.
All vaccinations, preventive care, exams, and lab testing must be completed prior to the start of services. Clearance documentation must be received prior to drop off.
Female dogs in heat are not permitted for any service. This applies for the full heat cycle and duration of bleeding, typically a minimum of 21 days. No exceptions.
